Description:
Represents the views of disabled football supporters, their carers and advocates.

Aims:

  • Carry out an audit of all premier league, football league and conference grounds and facilities.
  • Produce and distribute a new national guide to these grounds based on the completed audit programme.
  • Offers clubs an impartial advice service on improving existing facilities, and planning future developments.
  • Offers a structure of support to newly formed disabled supporters' associations and assist those wishing to set up their own association.
  • Continue to establish itself as the national voice of disabled supporters.

Activities:

  • Appointing a dedicated Disabled Liaison Officer (clubs such as Derby, West Ham, Stoke City, Ipswich Town amongst others have already taken this on board).
  • Implementing a written disability policy showing how disabled fans are treated, facilities are provided.
  • Standardisation of disabled ticketing/charging policies and harmonisation of how tickets are allocated.
  • Each club should commit to meet the "minimum" recommended number and placement of disabled seating places as stated in "Accessible Stadia" (other forms of disability apart from wheelchair users) and that, as a minimum, 10% (15% for Cup Matches) of declared disabled allocation for each disabled category (eg. wheelchair user, ambulatory disabled, visually impaired etc.) is provided to away supporters and is available up to 24 hours before each match.
