Description:
Carers UK is the voice of carers and the leading campaigning, policy and information organisation for carers.

Aims:
Carers UK will not stop until people recognise the true value of carers' contribution to society and carers get the practical, financial and emotional support they need.

Activities:

  • Carersline operates 10:00 am - 12 noon and 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Wednesday & Thursday.
  • Provides information and advice on all aspects of caring to both carers and professionals.
  • Network of offices, branches and individuals offer support to carers and provide vital feedback on local practices and policies towards carers.
  • Campaigning at all levels of national and local government, and with service providers to ensure that action is taken to support carers, this also includes campaigning for a better deal for carers about what needs to change to improve carers lives.
  • Informing carers of their rights and what help is available so that they can make choices about their lives.
  • Training and advising professionals who work with carers.
  • Carers online website which provides carers with accessible information about their rights, benefits and the support and services available to them (see website address).
