Eligibility:Child/Young Person must be a young carer helping a person who is ill, has a disability, mental health issues, or is affected by substance misuse. Young carers life must in some way be impacted upon due to caring responsibilities they have (i.e. socially, educationally, physically or emotionally. Must be 18 yrs or under and live in Doncaster).
Referral: Open referral system - can e-mail or post referral document.
Transport: Can be arranged if required.
Cost: No charge.

Description:
Doncaster Young Carers Service supports young carers and their families living in Doncaster to achieve and access the same life opportunities as those who do not care. Their support is delivered in a time limited, solution focused way, to meet identified need. They offer issue based group work, 1 to 1 and family support, opportunities to meet other young carers. They have open access for all young carers to participate in service developments through the Young Carers Forum and their own service 'Core Committee'.
