Description:
Provides support, reassurance and practical information to anyone who may be about to have, or, already has a colostomy. Appropriate support and advice is also provided to families and carers both before and after.

Aims:
To provide support andadvice for colostomates and their families with the help of volunteers and health professionals.

Activities:

• Offers practical support, encouragement and non-medical literature to people who have had or about to have a colostomy. Home and Hospital visits by arrangement.
• 24 hour helpline seven days a week, 365 days a year.
• E-mail support.
• Self-help groups throughout the country. If you wish to start a self-help group contact the organisation for a help guide.

Membership:
You can become a 'friend' by filling in the application form on line, printing and sending to the organisation, by writing or speaking to them for details on how to apply.
