Description:
Information and support for women with Vulva Pain Syndrome.

Aims:
The aims of the charity as set out in the Governing Document are:

  • To promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers of vulval pain through the provision of support, education and practical advice.
  • To advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to vulval pain.

The Vulval Pain Society (VPS) is a confidential service for women who suffer from vulval pain due to vestibulodynia and vulvodynia. It runs 3 - 4 workshops a year which provide a safe, informal environment for women and their partner to learn more about their condition and to receive support.

The VSP handbook covers most aspects of vulval pain, including chapters on self-examination, terminology of different vulval conditions, sexual dysfunction, coping with pain (including how to take a holistic approach to pain management), complimentary treatments, pregnancy and various other issues.
