The Law Centres Network is the representative voice of all Law Centres in the UK. Law Centres provide free legal advice and representation both to individuals and community organisations. They target their work so their resources are available to those in greatest need - unemployed, low-paid and disabled people, minority groups and women. The Law Centres Network does not employ lawyers and cannot give any legal advice; however, LCN can refer you to your local Law Centre which can offer legal advice in areas of social and community law.

  • To provide support and development services to Law Centres.
  • To contribute to the development of new Law Centres.
  • To contribute to the development of publicly funded legal services.
  • To undertake social policy work in conjunction with Law Centres.

  • Supports Law Centres by providing training, information, facilitating the sharing of knowledge and resources, and improving standards.
  • Advocates and negotiates nationally for recognition of the fact that large numbers of people still have no access to Law Centres.
  • Highlights the need for a completely free and easily accessible legal advice and representation scheme.
